How can you make hair extensions last longer?

Investing in real hair extensions is a way to enhance your style - but proper care is essential to maintain their quality. Here are our most important tips to keep your extensions healthy and silky smooth for as long as possible.

1. Use heat with caution

Limit the use of heat tools to a maximum of 160°C. Higher temperatures can damage the hair and weaken the bonds.

2. Avoid drying products

Products containing sulfates, parabens, or alcohol dry out the hair and can negatively affect tape or keratin bonds. Choose gentle alternatives.

3. Use products designed for hair extensions

Choose hair care products specially developed for hair extensions - preferably moisturizing and strengthening products.

4. Protect your hair while swimming

Avoid contact with salt water or chlorinated water, as it can damage your hair. Protect your hair with a swim cap or keep it tied up.

5. Brush your hair gently

Brush daily with a soft brush. Start from the bottom and work your way up to avoid pulling out strands of hair.

6. Dry and comb after swimming

After showering or swimming - dry your hair immediately and gently comb through it to prevent tangles.

7. Never sleep with wet hair

Sleeping with wet hair can lead to tangles and damage. Make sure your hair is completely dry before going to bed.

8. Avoid bleaching

Bleaching hair extensions reduces their quality, especially for color-treated hair. If you want to change the shade, choose a coloring method that does not require bleaching.
